This session will provide an enhanced understanding of land conservation options and the role of conservation commissions in land conservation, management options to enhance habitats for wildlife on town lands, and land use regulation as an important tool to protect natural resources in your community.

Online Mappers in Conservation

The Zoom videoconferencing link will be sent the day of the session

This one-hour session will include a brief review of online mappers and how they can be used to optimize your work to identify, protect, and manage natural resources. There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion.

After viewing the GRANITView overview video, go online and review the GRANITView Online Mapper for yourself. Zoom into your town and play around with turning data layers on and off. You may need to zoom in closer for some data layers to display. You can also tour yourself around the Aquatic Restoration Mapper (ARM), online. Come prepared with your questions for discussion.
