Volunteer at an Invasive Plant Workday

A great way to learn how to recognize and control invasive plants is to become a volunteer yourself. For many of us, hands-on learning is a great way to educate ourselves.

Nature Groupie, a project out of UNH Cooperative Extension, makes finding a volunteer workday easy. The project publishes a weekly newsletter and an online calendar with all the stewardship-related volunteer opportunities happening in New Hampshire, hosted by over 200 different conservation groups, agencies, and organizations. You’ll find that there is usually at least one invasive plant workday happening somewhere in the state every week, especially in the spring and fall.
